According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), the national benchmark for bachelor’s degree graduates securing employment or continuing their education within six months of graduation is approximately 85–86%, based on recent graduating classes. Our most recent First Destination Survey shows that 86% of our graduates achieved these outcomes, placing our students right in line with, and slightly above, national averages.

This strong result reflects the quality of a Muskingum education and the intentional career preparation, experiential learning, and personalized support students receive through the Impact Center.

Knowledge Rate

Our First Destination Survey results are further strengthened by our consistent survey knowledge rate, which has exceeded the NACE benchmark of 65% for the past three years (72%, 74%, and 72%, respectively). The knowledge rate reflects the percentage of graduates for whom outcome information is collected, and higher rates indicate more complete and reliable data. By consistently surpassing the national standard, Muskingum demonstrates a strong commitment to thorough data collection and follow-up, ensuring that our reported outcomes provide an accurate and credible representation of our graduates’ success.
