Advise: “It’s not all about numbers! Of course, you have to understand and be good with numbers and financial concepts and become proficient with these at your company’s entry level/staff jobs. But then you can move up into management and start working with people throughout the company on key organizational developments and strategic initiatives with the knowledge you have on the finances. You have to be willing to work hard and be able to communicate well, even when the numbers show negative trends. While you continue to come up the organization and being seen as a leader, everyone will be relying on your advice. And while this goes on you will get the satisfaction of being a key component in making your company great!”
